To Relax or Not to Relax?

I was recently talking with a friend of mine who was trying to invent all kinds of problems just because she was bored, and maybe also because she kept looking at having something to do instead of… being. Just being. Relaxing. Receiving. Allowing.

Allowing a new reality to show up. You have asked for it, haven’t you? You have asked for something different. Maybe you didn’t ask it out loud. Maybe it’s just a secret whisper inside of you. A desire, knowing, need, request. If you ask for it, you will have it. You don’t get to control when and how though.

So my advice to this friend of mine? Relax, and relax.

If you would be so brave today, maybe you allow it for you too.

It’s definitely not always easy! Especially for those of us who have this creative drive and a strong desire to change the world, change ourselves, go forward, have more, be more… and we often think that all of those come from actively doing something.

There is time for doing and there is time for receiving and allowing what you have chosen and done to actualize, become real in this world. It’s sort of like if you were making a cake, and you mixed all the ingredients and poured it into a cake pan, but you never put it into an oven to cook.

It’s a two-part recipe; remember the second part as well 😉 Put the cake of your choices and creations into the oven of the universe and let it cook it for you. What can you relax into today?

PS. Relaxing is not the same thing as checking out completely and getting drunk, wasted, etc. It’s being present with everything without a need to do anything about it, without putting up any walls and barriers, without forcing or thinking. You can be very active in relaxation, or you can sit totally still.
