Do you blame your body?

Sometimes your body chooses something very different than what you wanted to choose. In those situations you can either get angry at your body, or you can ask questions.

For a second imagine that you and your friend are planning a party together and suddenly your friend says that she can’t come, because she needs to go somewhere else. How do you react? What do you do?

Do you immediately get angry and blame your friend for ruining your life?
If that’s what you would do, you would throw your friend out of your life and create massive distance between you two.

And that’s basically what you do with your body too.

Another possibility exists though!

Instead of getting angry or making any conclusions, you could ask questions.

Hey body, what is this?
Body, what are you saying that I don’t get?
Body, is there any way you could make this more clear for me please?
Body, do you want to change this?
How would you like to change this?
Body, what do you require?

Questions (instead of conclusions) eliminate distance between you and your body, and you can create together from communion, instead of fighting with two opposing points of view.

I wonder, what else is possible with your body that you have never considered?
